This just occurred to me today as I was at work and heard people talking about it being Friday the 13th:

On Friday, October 13, 1307, King Philip IV of France had all French Knights Templar arrested, charged with numerous heresies (and the favorite medieval catch-all charge of sodomy) and tortured by French authorities nominally under the Inquisition until they confessed.

So there you go.
