We got our first snow of the winter today. It's been kind of dark out the last two days, which always makes me sleepy. The snow falling today makes up for the darkness, I think. Now it feels cozy inside and the Christmas atmosphere feels complete. I stepped outside to take a few pictures of it, just because.
Here's the opposite view, looking out across the street toward the museum.
Here's another of the apartment courtyard.
And finally, here's one taken while looking out toward the skyline downtown. It's a bit too foggy out to see much beyond St. Stephen's.

Ugh. I'll trade anyone for the flat gray blanket of a sky we'll have for the next three to four months. It started some time in October when the fall rains came. It's been very dark ever since with only a few moments of sunlight here and there.
I would like to point out that the time of day the photos were taken was some time between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.; and, every day has pretty much looked the same since...and will probably continue to look exactly the same except with bigger piles of snow until sometime in April...maybe. At some point the snow will turn back into rain and sometime in May the sun might come back out. Blech, I Hate Minnesota weather.
So many days without sunlight makes my brain feel as if it has been pressed down into a thin layer with all its molecules lined up in single a row. It's rather difficult to think or feel when one's brain is only one molecule thick. Which is why I can't blog when it's cloudy and dark like this. All I want to do is pull the covers over my head and hibernate until spring.
