And here I thought I could trust the media.
Okay, granted, when it comes to the Gnostic gospels, one must look at them with a significant chunk of salt, but in case you weren't already aware of the pop media's prioritizing of shock, sensation and controversy over accuracy and factual content, here's a reminder.
Well, at the very least, I thought I might be able to trust the National Geographic Society. But trusting the media to tell you the unvarnished truth would be like...well, like trusting the Gnostic gospels to tell you about Jesus.
