Nothing terribly exciting to report today. The wife and I got a couch yesterday, so now we can relax in front of the TV together when we watch "Alias" and "Law and Order." Sweet.
Since I don't have anything else to say, I'll recommend a website. If you haven't ever heard of Bruce Campbell, you should make an effort to get acquainted. He's probably the best-known B-movie actor in Hollywood, earning his fame as Ash in the "Evil Dead" movies, then going on to play Brisco County Jr. in the short-lived TV show of the same name, appearing in and directing episodes of "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys" and "Xena: Warrior Princess" (for which I must ultimately forgive him - I understand more or less what they were trying to do, but these shows still give me hives), and, of course, getting cameo appearances in pretty much everything that Sam Raimi does (they began their film careers together; go figure). He's done a lot more than this, of course, but these are the things for which he's best known.
However, you should take a look at his website even if you don't like any of these things or even his acting, because he's not only quite the professional, but he's got some admirable thoughts and philosophies under his "Babblings" section. I especially appreciated his view on celebrities and celebrity status, which he talks about in his essay called "The Autograph Thing" (he doesn't give out autographs; here's why). If everybody assumed more of the attitude about celebrities that he talks about, I think the world would be just that much better a place in which to live.
So check him out. If you like what you see, he's got a book out called If Chins Could Kill: Confessions of a B-Movie Actor which I heartily recommend, especially if you're interested in a career in Hollywood.
