I just learned about this via Infuze Magazine:

On April 17, Houghton-Mifflin will be releasing "The Children of Hurin," a novel begun by J.R.R. Tolkien almost 90 years ago and completed by his son Christopher. It'll feature inside and cover paintings by Alan Lee (my favorite Middle-Earth illustrator) and a detailed new map by Christopher Tolkien.
