These are some pictures I took of our last big snowstorm. I wanted pictures to show because I think it may have been the most snow we've had dumped on us since we moved to Minnesota, and because it reminded me of California - it was the kind of snowstorm we sometimes got in the mountains, when it would just snow all day long. Up here, it's usually just flurries that last for about an hour at most.
Anyway, here are some pictures I took while it was still snowing. Bear in mind that we ended up with something like twice the amount shown in these photos; it really piled up:

And finally, the fate of no less than three bicycles chained to parking signs on the sidewalk in front of our complex. They're all still there.
While we got to enjoy a day or two of blue skies and [blinding] sunshine this weekend, today is drab and cold and grey again. I long for the spring.
So in lieu of springtime's fresh air, I hope David will lift your spirits:
